A legacy that began with one visionary.
Samagi Organics traces its roots to a company established in Sri Lanka in 1969 by a visionary leader, Mr. Abeyratne. What began under his direction grew, in the hands of the second generation, into an international business — Samagi Organics (Pvt) Ltd, part of the wider Samagi group alongside our sister company, Samagi Spice Exports (Pvt) Ltd.
We remain passionately committed to preserving the authenticity of organic spices, sustaining organic agriculture, and offering better opportunities to the local farmers we work alongside — delivering the freshness of untouched nature from our own Ceylon Cinnamon & Spices with matchless premium quality.

1969
The first estate
Mr. Abeyratne founds the company in Sri Lanka, working a single estate on the conviction that Ceylon spice deserved to be known for its authenticity rather than its volume.

1990s
The second generation
His children take the business forward, keeping the growing and peeling methods intact while opening the door to buyers outside Sri Lanka for the first time.

2005
Certified organic
EU Organic, the JAS Organic seal and SGS ISO‑22000 formalise on paper what the estates had already practised for three decades.

2015
Eight markets
Exports reach Mexico, the USA, Brazil, Argentina, Honduras, Peru, Canada and Europe — three continents served from one district of southern Sri Lanka.
